Remembering Malcolm Tupman

Musselburgh RFC are saddeed to hear the passing of Malcolm Tupman.
Malcolm passed away peacefully with his family at the Royal Infirmary Hospital on the 19th of August after being diagnosed with Mesothelioma just over a year ago.
His love of rugby started as young player, and included playing for Moray House as scrum half for their first fifteen.
After moving to Musselburgh over 50 years ago, he joined the Rugby Club, where he would continue to support the team over countless seasons, many of these years on the gate on match days. Despite his illness, his fondness of the club, saw him make it to his final matches at the 7’s tournament in May of this year.
If he wasn’t watching Musselburgh, he was in the clubhouse watching the internationals laughing and joking with the many friends he had made over the years.
Our thoughts and condolences go to his wife Cath, children Claire and Andrew, daughter-in-law Kerry and Grandchildren Myles and Harry.
Malcom’s funeral will take place on the Friday 11 September at 10.30am in Northesk Church and cremation at East Lothian Crematorium & Memorial Gardens at 11.30am, followed by a reception at Musselburgh Rugby Club.
