Remembering Craig Ramsay

Updated: 3 days ago

It is with the deepest of sadness that Musselburgh RFC has to report that our good friend and teammate Craig Ramsay has lost his battle with cancer. In typical fashion he fought hard and over the last year or so has lived life to the fullest.

Originally from Dunbar, Craig was a regular at number 14 in our first XV during his spell at the club from 1987 to 1995. He was a prolific try-scorer with pace, great hands and a devastating side-step.

Musselburgh RFC was privileged to host Craig and his wife Hayley at Stoneyhill last October where many of his ex teammates attended. Craig was in wonderful form that day and was honoured to be presented with the one-off centenary number 14 strip in recognition of his service to the club.

He will be sadly missed by us all, but always talked about and thus, never forgotten. RIP Craig and well played.

Funeral arrangements to follow.
