The Supers finished top of the division with ten wins from twelve games, scoring 428 points and eleven try bonus points to end the season on 55 points, nine ahead of second place Glasgow Accies 2XV, who finished on 46 points.

The season included some fantastic wins against Stewart’s Melville 2XV on the opening day of the season at Pinkie in September, a 40-14 win over Glasgow Accies 2XV in November at home and a hard fought try fest at Goldenacre in December, winning 52-22 over Heriot’s 2AXV.

A 70-24 win over Linlithgow 2XV at home in January set up for a close end to the season. With two games left against GHK 2XV home and away (the away match being a replay due to a serious injury in the first match) and a home tie against Heriot's 2AXV, it grew closer at the top between Burgh, the Edinburgh side and Glasgow Accies.

A 40-35 win over GHK at Pinkie, coupled with a 28-0 forfeit win over Heriot’s and a 49-27 win at Anniesland gave Burgh the victory and the league title, sending the side back into Division 1, Scotland’s top reserve rugby league.

Head Coach Calum Gauld commented “It’s been a hugely proud season for everyone involved with the 2XV. After the disappointment of relegation last year and what was a tough period for the senior men’s section as a whole, the way the players have responded has been outstanding. From the very start of the season the attitude and commitment shown by the group has been first class."

"The “Supers” has always had a strong identity within the club, and it’s been brilliant to see the players recapturing that this season. They’ve created a positive and enjoyable environment where players want to be involved, and that’s played a huge part in rebuilding confidence and momentum."

"Winning a league at any level of any sport is incredibly difficult, and the players deserve enormous credit for what they’ve achieved. Beyond the success itself, what’s particularly exciting is what this means for the club moving forward. We’ve got a number of talented young players coming through, and it’s important they’re playing at the highest level possible to support their development. Having a confident, fun and winning “Supers” environment for them to step into is hugely valuable, this season has laid a really strong foundation for that."

"Sandy and I couldn’t be prouder of what the group has achieved. They’ve worked hard for each other, embraced the challenge and fully deserve the success they’ve earned."

President Blair Stewart said “Everyone at the club is thrilled with the success of our second XV this season. This is the heartbeat of the club and is critical we continue to challenge these players, enhance their development and have them knocking on the door of the 1st XV; that’s exactly what is happening. I was proud to present the league trophy to the players on Saturday in front of a packed clubhouse. My congratulations to the players, team managers, physios and of course to our coaches Calum Gauld and Sandy Galashan."
