Remembering Richard Carmichael

Musselburgh RFC is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Richard Carmichael. Richard passed away peacefully on Monday 27 October after a short illness and will be missed by all at the club. 

Along with his wife Nancy, Richard was-ever present at the club over an extended period of time, both taking active roles at the club during the 1990s. As well as being active on the general committee of the time, Richard took on the mantle of ‘official club photographer' and was always someone who the club could rely on to help.  Most of all, he was a hugely popular figure around the clubhouse, quiet and unassuming, but with a great sense of humour; a true gentleman. 

We send our deepest condolences to all of the family, especially Nancy, Colin and Alan.

Richard’s funeral will be held at 1pm on Thursday 13th November at East Lothian Crematorium and Memorial Gardens, Old Craighall Road, followed after at the Rugby Club

Family flowers only. Please bring cash for donations to the NHS Lothian Charity to thank the Palliative Care Nurses for their support. Please wear whatever you are comfortable in. Black not expected.
