The Club has just learnt of the sad passing of former player, Bill Cranston.
Bill joined Musselburgh in 1963, having previously played with Hawick. He was a proud ‘Terrie’ and a great number 8.
Following the end of his playing days Bill went on to coach at Peebles High School and his side went on to reach the Scottish Cup final in 1996 when they were narrowly beaten 13 - 12 by St. Aloysius College.
Bill always maintained an interest in Musselburgh RFC and his passing is a sad loss to us all. Our thoughts are with his family.
Bill’s funeral has already been held.
