Blair Stewart Appointed to Custodian Board

MRFC President Blair Stewart was appointed to the Scottish Rugby Board as a Custodian Director at the Scottish Rugby Annual General Meeting at Murrayfield last night.

He defeated incumbent Maxine Mandistch by 80 votes to 40 for the role of Position 1 (Financial) to join Alison Milne, who was re-elected, in supporting directors David Grevemberg and Cheryl Black and Chair Professor Lorne Crerar on the board.

”It’s amazing that my professional and rugby backgrounds have converged to make this possible” Stewart commented. “I am grateful and humbled by the support I have received from the Scottish rugby club community. I look forward to rolling my sleeves up and repaying the faith that these great people have shown in me.”
