We have been informed that a person who was training at Stoneyhill on Tuesday 22nd and Thursday 24th September has tested positive for COVID-19. We respect their right to privacy, therefore we will not be confirming any personal details and wish them a speedy recovery.
Following Scottish Rugby Guidance and with immediate effect, we have to temporarily close all facilities at the clubhouse and rugby training sessions across all sections of the club have to be suspended while we carry out a full review of our comprehensive risk assessments and take any appropriate action in line with local public health guidance. These actions are all part of the normal procedures taken by any rugby club faced with a similar situation and we wish to assure all our members that we have rigorously followed all the relevant, safety guidelines.
Scottish Rugby have also been alerted to the situation and the Club will assist Test and Protect teams with contact tracing if required. All those affected by this situation fully understand their requirement to stay at home and to self-isolate for the next 14 days which is in line with Scottish Government guidance.
If any player, parent/carer or club member have any concerns regarding this development, please do not hesitate to contact the Club’s Covid-19 Safety Coordinator at: musselburghrfc.secretary@btinternet.com
We will inform all our members as soon as possible as to when the Clubhouse can reopen and training can safely resume.
