Musselburgh RFC Centenary Beer
We have teamed up with our friends at the small local brewery Hurly Burly Brewery (www.hurlyburlybrewery.co.uk), just across the road at Inveresk Industrial Estate, to offer our MRFC Centenary Ales - Shirehaugh Black IPA, Stoneyhill India Pale Ale and Butcher's Apron Pale Ale - personalised for MRFC.
Hurly Burly Brewery was set up by Peter & Louise McNaught, an East Lothian based husband and wife team committed to producing tasty bottle-conditioned and cask ales.
All of their ales are unfiltered, unpasteurised and suitable for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores alike. Hurly Burly brew based on the premise that the less you interfere with the beer the better, leaving the yeast to work its magic in the bottle or cask and producing a more flavoursome, complex and enjoyable ale.

The Beer

Shirehaugh Black IPA
5% ABV

A contradiction in terms perhaps but this deep, velvety dark beer provides sumptuous chocolate and coffee hints balanced against an elegant IPA hoppiness – ideal for a drink at the end of a hard day’s work.
Stoneyhill IPA
5% ABV

An American style IPA with typical bitterness and a zesty, aromatic finish. Light amber in colour, bold and flavourful in character, we hope you enjoy the ale that has inspired the Hurly Burly adventure.

Butcher's Apron Pale Ale
4% ABV

A lightly hopped and delectably smooth ale, Gnat’s Hop is brewed with a blend of Pale and Vienna malts topped off with a smattering of whole flower aromatic hops – so bright and
refreshing as to put an extra zing in your step!
