The Musselburgh Rugby Club Annual Sevens Tournament will be held at Stoneyhill on Saturday 6th May, where Musselburgh, Preston Lodge, Haddington, North Berwick, Watsonians, Earlston, Portobello, QMU, Bovril Boys, Lasswade, Broughton and last years winners ISC Red Kites will be competing for the coveted Brunton Cup, with the first tie kicking off at 12.30pm on what always proves to be a popular and fun day at the Club. The draw will be made in the week leading up to the 7s.
Along with the senior games, there will be a youth match played on the main pitch, to reflect the Club's commitment to developing the game. This annual event is a favourite with rugby supporters old and new, a real family day where visitors are always made welcome. Both locals and members ensure it's a definite part of their social calendar. There will be a BBQ with delicious butcher fresh burgers, a beer tent and the Club bar and club rooms will be open to the public throughout the tournament. The evening culminates with a disco at the club.
General admission is available on the day, as well as pre-booked hospitality packages which include entry, a buffet lunch, drinks vouchers, dedicated bar and seating and balcony viewing. Catering is being provided by the local favourite Artisan Van. Hospitality and sponsorship opportunities are still available. There will be a raffle on the day with prizes including a rugby ball signed by the Scotland team and former British Lions, and replicas of Musselburgh's new 1st XV 2017/2018 strips.
The event is open to all and any enquiries should be directed to the Club at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 0131 665 3435.
